Cliff –
She will read the papers and ask some appropriate questions. Usually, oral argument takes quite a bit of time there. You will think you have a feel as to how it is going.
Then, you will wait 8-12 months for a decision. They may or may not be able to locate her notes. Her law secretary or a random assigned court attorney will decide the motion. You will, more likely than not, be displeased with the decision, which, more often than not, does not correspond to what was discussed at oral argument.
